Assistance Wanted
If more assistance for road sealing work in the county cannot be obtained from the consolidated fund then the only other source is from rates, declared the chairman, Mr J. L. Burnett, at the annual meeting of the Whakatane County Council yesterday. He pointed out that sealing was very expensive and the Council was faced with a large amount of work but consideration would have to be given to this question first.
