Kowhai Women’s Institute

The November meeting of the Kowhai Institute was well attended, Mrs Cooper the president, presiding. The Golden Thread was by Mrs Rowson. Mrs K. Stewart gave a most interesting talk on A.C.W.W. and also spoke on her visit to Holland. Mrs peck, of Otakiri, very, capably demonstrated floral work. Mrs Stewart and Mrs Peck were accorded hearty votes of thanks and were presented with a spray of flowers. Monthly competitions: Floral spray, Miss Sutcliffe 1, Miss Richardson 2, Miscs Brown 3. Dressed novelty doll, Miss Fife 1. A Nursery Rhyme Competition was won by Miss Bayley.
