International Day At Otakiri.

International day wa.s celebrated at the monthly meeting of the Otakiri Women’s Institute, presided over by Mrs J. Carr. The bi-annual council report was given by Mrs J. A. Armstrong. Arrangements were discussed for a family evening to be held on December 10 and a report was given of a recent meeting of the Women’s Committee of the A. and P. Association by Mrs V. Peck. Competition results:—

Lambert 2, Mrs Winters 3; double flower, Mrs Hallett 1, Mrs Whalley 2, Mrs Peck 3; russian toffee, Mrs Hallett 1. Mrs Peck 2, Mrs Smith 3; fruit tart, Mrs Winters 1, Mrs Peck 2; 'red, white and blue spray, Mrs Peck 1, Mrs Armstrong 2, Mrs Winters 3.
