Brides' Selections Of Wedding Music: A Vicar Views

Brides don’t know how to pick suitable music for their weddings, says the Vicar of St, Gabriel’s, Cricklewood, London (the Rev. W. I. Bulman). Writing in his parish magazine, he says:— “How often we have requests for ‘ln a Monastery Garden,’ the very last place in which most brides would wish to be.

“Then there is ‘Ave Maria,’ a sugary, sloppy, sentimental piece, quite unsuitable for a wedding.

“And there is the ancient favourite, ‘Because.’ “I expect ‘Love’s Old Sweet Song’ any day now. “But the gem of t' em all is probably ‘l’ll Walk Besi 2 You,’ known vulgarly as the undertaker’s song.”
