SMITH TROPHY GAMES RESUMED Play was resumed again on Saturday for the R. F. Smith Stars and the W. Smith Stars, as well as six other rinks being occupied by players at the Whakatane Bowling Club greens. In the R. F. Smith Stars the holders, P. Smoljan’s team, had a substantial win over a team led by R. Spong, and in the W. Smith Stars the holders, W. Smith and S. McKenzie, were defeated on the last end by A. Atkinson and C. Loane.
