TANEATUA’S OPENING DAY The Taneatua tennis club held its opening day on Labour Day, when there were a good number of members present to take part in the Yankee Tournament. Prizes were won by Lawn and Noel Barr. The president, Mr A. Wardlaw, in opening the courts wished all members a very happy tennis season. WAINUI CLUB’S OPENING • DAY About fifty players attended the Wainui Tennis Club’s opening last week. Visitors were present from several of the neighbouring clubs and a highly successful day was held. A Yankee tournament was held in the afternoon, the winners being Miss P. Robinson of Wainui and Mr G. Tepapa, of the Waiotahi Club. Mr M. Burke, president of the. club, welcomed the visitors and Mr A. McNab, Waiotahi,. and Mr N Eagle, Waimana, replied for the visiting clubs.
