Y.N.P. Card Evening’s At Taneatua

The series of card parties which has been conducted by the Junior National Party of Taneatua was brought to a conclusion last Thursday evening were flag 500 was played. Very enjoyable and most successful from a financial point of view, the evenings have been a credit to the organising ability of the junior members who have run them unaided by the seniors. Prize winners were Mesdames Green and Jennings and Messrs Torrie and Goodhew. The aggregate points prize for the season was won bv Mrs Bennett (women) and Mr A. Torrie (men).

By a unanimous vote it was decided to continue the fortnightly card evenings for two months or so longer, but the proceeds will be given to the Tennis Club.
