Edgecumbe ParentTeacher Association

A very enjoyable and successful social evening was held at the Edgecumbe school on Thursday, \vhen well over 60 parents and friends gathered for the monthly meeting of the Parent-Teacher Association. Items of entertainment were given by Mr A. Blake, violin, Mr A. Nicholls, guitar, Mrs J. Jespersen and Miss M. Jespersen, songs, Mr H. . Lopdell and Miss Stewart, humorous sketch, ‘Romeo and Juliet.’ Following these items an interesting demonstration of the various uses of the new sound system now installed in the school was given. A few minutes of lively business was carried on at the “Bring and Buy” stall and the total proceeds of the evening amounted to £6 16s. A tasty supper served by women of the committee, brought a pleasant evening to a close.
