Information Book For Immigrants
Though set out on opulent glossy paper, the drawbacks a British settler might find in New Zealand, housing shortages, dull Sundays, and so forth—are not glossed over ic in the new edition of "New Zealand Prospects of Settlement." This booklet is printed in England for the Immigration Division of the New Zealand Department of Labour and is intended to tell intending immigrants something oi the country. Salesmanship is most restrained and Britons should be able to gain from it a fair indication of what a new life in New Zealand has to offer them. According to the Director of Employment (Mr H. L. Bockett) the booklet has been in great demand both in Britain and • elsewhere in the Commonwealth since it was originally isued in March, 1947.
