Paeroa-Pokeno Railway Estimates
An item of £12,250,000 to complete the Paeroa-Pokeno railway is included in the lists of public works to be carried out in the Auckland district, according to a Wellington message. In giving the above details for the Auckland district a total estimated cost of £17,900,000, the Minister of Works'Hon R. Semple, stated that these were works to which the Government had already committed itself, had been begun, to be begun soon, or to be undertaken immediately the recommendations of overseas experts were adopted.
