82nd Birthday Party At Galatea

A pleasant afternoon was recently spent in the home of Mrs S. Jansen, Galatea, when a few friends gathered to enjoy a combined farewell and birthday party given in honour of Mrs Jansen, Snr., who will soon be leaving the district. Mrs Jansen, Snr., celebrates her 82nd birthday very shortly but is a very bright personage for all her years, and only a year or so ago took a trip to Australia and flew back to New Zealand.

Songs and items were given by women present, not the least of which was Mrs Jansen Senior’s very sweet singing of “After the Ball.” It is hoped by her friends that she will enjoy many more such birthday afternoons.
