Presentation Of Plan To Conference
The plan for the- deep sea port at Whakatane has created much interest among the local bodies and other organisations of the district and most have been impressed by the great possibilities of the scheme. The full plans are to be presented to a meeting of Bay of Plenty local bodies at Rotorua on Friday, which is called' to discuss the establishment of a deep sea port at Tauranga, a fertiliser works adjacent to the port, a freezing works and a heavy traffic highway to connect the pumice lands with, the nearest port.' They are also to be submitted for consideration to the . Commissioner of Works.-
