Dogs Registered A total of 350 dogs were registered in the county last month, making a total of 2,628 so far this year. The fees amount to £743 Bs. Awakeri Highway

Holes in the sealed surface of the Awakeri-Te Teko highway have been patched. Wet weather prevented completion of this work.

Waimana Bowling Greens If possible, land at Waimana owned by the County Council, is to be made available for development as a bowling and croquet green.

Animals Impounded Twenty-five horses and two pigs were impounded from the Opouriao, Ruatoki, Paroa, Eastern Boundary Road and Te Teko districts last month. Driving, pound and sale fees collected totalled £3O 16s 6d.

Licence Tests

Tests were conducted and extension made to traffic licences for 25 car and light trade motor vehioles, 10 heavy trade motors, six road machines, five motor cycles, two passenger service vehicles and two taxi cabs. Te Teko-Galatea Road A truck and gang have been engaged upon repairing the numerous small washouts and subsidences which occurred on this road during the last flood. Parking signs have been painted in Waimana and provision has been made for a bus stop near the hall and a no parking area immediately in front of the hall. Cars may now park at an angle on the northern side of the town from the hall to the post office. Parallel parking for trucks and cars has been provided on the southern side of the street.
