Special Farm Talks To Be Broadcast
Three radio talks are to be delivered by farming officers of the Eastern Bay of Plenty over the Auckland and Bay of Plenty broadcasting stations. On September 28 at 7 p.m. Mr J. Hawken, Edgecumbe, is to describe over IYA Auckland the adventures of Bay of Plenty young farmers who recently toured Australia. Then at 7.15 p.m. on October 5 Mr G. R. Yeoman, a farmer of the Opouriao Valley, will talk about hill country run-offs for dairy farms. This is a talk he prepared himself and will be broadcast by IYZ. From the same station at 7.15 p.m. on October 13 Mr E. R. Marryatt, Fields Instructor, Whakatane, will tell farmers how not to make silage.
