Te Teko W.D.F.F.’s Monthly Meeting

The monthly meeting of the Te Teko W.D.F.F. was well attended. Mrs Harty, who was the conference delegate to Wellington, gave a very comprehensive report, the fashion parade of woollen women’s wear being of ' very real interest. The September programme is to consist of members’ dressmaking problems, Mrs Goodwin being the instructor. The birthday party is to be held in October. A new .member, Mrs Woods, was welcomed. Competitions:—

Best bloom, Mrs Jamieson 1, Mrs Butler 2. Vegetable, Mrs Butler 1, Mrs Burr 2. Fruit, Mrs Jamieson 1, Mrs Butler 2.

Birthday flowers were presented to Mesdames Harty,. Hendl and Woods. Winner of a mystery parcel was Mrs Hegh. The 'roll call, an exchange of plants, was very popular.

Hostesses for afternoon tea were Mesdames McDonald and Costello.
