SENIOR-SERGT. TO TAKE OVER LOCAL POLICE STATION

Senior-Sergt F. Fuller, of Wellington, who previously served at Whakatane as a Constable, is to come back here as officer in charge of the Whakatane Police sub-district on the retirement of Sergt M. J. Farrell. Constable E. D. Jones, of Gisborne, has been appointed as a permanent replacement for Constable W. T. McMath, who resigned several months ago and had not been permanently replaced on account of accommodation difficulties. Constable Jones is expected to take up his duties next week. At present this position is being filled by Constable A. S. V. Tate. -

Amongst other appointments and transfers gazetted is the transfer of Constable G. A. McCurrach from Te Kaha to Balmoral.
