Waimana Basket Social Is Popular
Rarely seen now and only chiefly in country districts a basket social in the Waimana Hall to swell the funds of the war memorial pro ?ed a fine success: The first held at Waimana for some years it drew a large crowd and the supper supplied in baskets by the women brought some good prices at supper time. These were sold by Mr H. White. Music for dancing was supplied by Kings Orchestra with extras being played by Mr A. Bell. Mr N. Eagle was Master of Ceremonies.
