Awakeri W.D.F.F. Now Twenty Years Old
The twentieth birthday party of the Awakeri Women’s Division of Federated Farmers was celebrated recently and was a remarkabe success. Community singing, sketches, films and dancing were the main attractions of the evening. The films were screened by Mr Anderson while a sketch was presenied by Mesdames H. Jensen and L. Roberts. Two songs were sung by Mrs H. Carter and Mesdames Fabish, Allan, Arrol and Hopkirk presented a mime. The final item was -. scare crow band, made up by members of the division.
The birthday cake was made by Mrs Brizzle and cut by Mrs L. Luke, both life members of the branch.
