To Wellington In Search Of Power
Just back from Wellington after tw|) long conferences with the Electricity Controller in company with Mr W. Sullivan M.P., Mr J. D. Dicker, secretary-manager of the Power Board, and Mr C. S. Armstrong, Deputy-Mayor, the Mayor of Whakatane, Mr B. S. Barry, said yesterday morning he could give no indication yet as to what the official reaction might be. However, he would be reporting fully to the Borough Council’s Electricity Committee later this week.
