Many Admissions To Whakatane Hospital

tJThere were a total of 175 admisjons to the Whakatane District jiospital during June the medical superintendent, Dr E. T. Dawson,' reported to the monthly meeting of the Bay of Plenty Hospital Board yesterday. Seventy were males and 105 females. The number of patients in the hospital at the beginning of the month was 89, 52 being females and 37 males. There was a slight increase in the number at the end of June when there were 51 males and 44 females.

Discharges were as high as usual, 49 males leaving the hospital and 112 females. There were a large number of births, 42 being recorded, of which 27 were boys and 15 girls, as against this there were only eight deaths, one being a female.
