U. S. Clothing Makers To Help To Boost Wool
A group of distinguished members of the Clothing Manufacturers’ Association of U.S.A. comprising the newly-formed Men’s Clothing Manufacturers’ Committee of the Wool Bureau met recently in New York with Wool Bureau executives to discuss possibilities for a joint wool promotion programme, states the New Zealand Wool Board.
Michael DarofT, chairman of the committee, who presided, urged the association to work in conjunction with the Wool Bureau wherever their interests might meet. He emphasised that the Bureau was a going concern with funds available for a comprehensive campaign on behalf of men’s wear and all clothing made of wool. “Whether we make clothing of wool as well as competitive fibres does not matter,” Mr Daroff said. “Wool is the chief clothing fibre and will remain so.” Messrs Acker-man and Fitzgerald, of the Bureau, expressed willingness to co-operate with all segments of the wool industry in promoting the sale of wool products through research, education and promotion.
