Breaches Of Price Order
On each of four charges of selling flat fibrolite in excess of . the authorised price Boon, Sullivan, Luke Ltd. were fined £2, costs £2 12s by Mr E. L. Walton, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court at Whakatane yesterday. The defendant Company 'Mr Otley) pleaded not guilty to charges brought by the Department of Industries and Commerce (Mr Rosen, Crown Solicitor, Auckland). It was contended by the defendant that loss in transport was a legitimate transport charge. The magistrate ruled an overcharge of 2d on fibrolite charged at £1 2s, 5d on fibrolite charged at £1 12s 2d and a similar overcharge on the remaining two counts.
