Driving Licenses Selling Slowly
Driving licenses are selling slowly at the Borough Council office. If all last year’s licenses were renewed there would be over 800, the Town Clerk, Mr L. D. Lovelock said yesterday, but so far there had not been 250 applications. That figure is well behind last year’s at the same stage of the month. As a special service to drivers, the office will be open this evening from 6.30 to 8 o’clock, and Mr Lovelock pointed out that drivers would be helping themselves as well as the Borough, staff if they would renew their licenses promptly.
