£IO,OOO Lottery Prize To Opotiki

First prize in an overseas lottery to the value of £IO,OOO has been won by Mr F. Weston, of Paerata Ridge, Opotiki. Mr Weston is an elderly pensioner and purchased the ticket from a billiard saloon proprietor of Opotiki. When he first heard the news of his success Mr Weston took it calmly although many of his neighbours appeared to be more excited than he. So far he has not made any definite plans as to his future with the prize.
