Whakatane Third In St. John Competition

A team of senior cadets of the Whakatane St. John Ambulance Cadet Division competed with some success at the South Auckland District Champion Cadet Competitions at Hamilton when they gained a third and fburth placings. The team, which consisted of Trevor Windleyf Alan Taylor, Bruce Taylor and Roger Bell, accompanied by Cadet Superintendent W. K. Abbott and Cadet Officer M. Ramson, gained fourth place in the team test with a score of 159 points out of a possible 200. The individual championship third place was filled by Cadet Windley with 1592points. The championship was won by the Huntly team, which is to represent South Auckland at the Dos minion Championships at Dunedin.
