Ruatoki Wins School Basketball Games
In a closely contested game at Ruatoki the Ruatoki Primary School defeated the Murupara school by 8 goals to 4 at an interschool basketball game. For Ruatoki B. Purewa and K. Hatata played well with F. Howden and D. Iki showing up for Murupara. Ruatoki District High School beat Murupara by 9 goals to 4. For Ruatoki R. McLean was the pick of the team and scored almost all the points with W. Biddle playing as a very sound defensive K. Moki played brilliantly for Murupara.
After the games the visitors were entertained by the Ruatoki High School and Primary School Committees in the Tumatauenga Hall.
