Two Applicants Fail In Traffic Tests
. Five applicants for, drivers’ licences were tested by the Whakatane Traffic Inspector, Mr M. C. Bridge,, during May, he reported to thq, Whakatane Borough' Council. Of' these, two failed to pass the required driving test. Eighteen warnings were issued for various traffic offences. y'h.V' -.Ur '
The inspector stated there had been , one headlight check when g total, of 347 vehicles were stopped and inspected. Ten of 'these had no tail lights and four; had inc'orjrectly adjusted lights.
