Large Crowd Attends Hockey Dance

The Awakeri Hall was packed on Monday night when dancers from all over the district attended a hockey dance held to raise funds to send two teams from the Central Bay of Plenty to the Country Week Hockey Tournament to be held in Auckland next week. The music was by the Opotiki Melody Makers and extras were played by Miss Betty Newdick. Monte Carlo winners: Miss E. Jhia and Mr R. Johnson, Wellington, and Miss P. Ferguson and Mr T>. Irving. Mr Ben Hill was M.C.
