Young Caledonians’ Dance Old Scottish dances were featured at the Young Caledonians’ dance at Whakatane on Saturday night. Despite the heavy rain there was a good crowd. Music was played by Mesdames Harrison, A. Stewart and E. Fowell and Miss D. Stewart. A monte carlo was won 'by Miss B. Law and Mr G. Drayson. Miss Law was also successful in winning the Lucky Gay Gordons with Mr Donald. In a competition held daring the evening Miss Law claimed this prize too.
