Local Horse Scores At Gisborne

Kukunui, Cup winner at the recent Whakatane race meeting at Te Teko, scored another win at the second day of the Gisborne races on Saturday, taking first place in the hack event in fine style. The Vallette-Kukuriri gelding is owned by Mr R. Park, Onepu. The other local horse competing at Gisborne, Messrs Price and Corcoran’s Quination (Oration-Flap-perette) had two runs at the meeting, and was unplaced. It is understood he changed hands down there.

Who ever is wise is apt to suspect and be diffident to himself, and upon that account is willing to hearken unto counsel.
