WEATHER DRIVES SCOUTS INDOORS FOR BAY RALLY
Despite foul weather, the Bay of Plenty Scout rally at Whakatane on Saturday was successfully conducted at the Winter Show building. Of the 24 troops in the area, 9 turned out with a total strength of 230 and competition was keen, though the missing of the outdoor events was naturally a disappointment. Mr Don Scott acted rally chief, and the salute was taken by Mr C. Ringsley-Smith, County Commissioner as the boys marched past to the music of the Pipe Band. Results:—
