W.I. Members Should Yoke Own Opinions

Suggestions of various ways in which members could gain confi-

dence in speaking was given by ~ Mrs K. Stewart, organiser of women’s institutes in the Eastern Bay of Plenty in an address to the monthly meeting of the Ohope Women’s Institute. She urged the encouragement of members in voicing their opinions at meetings and also to keep working together in harmony. Points for hand work and chrysanthemums, which were judged by Mrs Stewart, were won by Mrs W. Clarke with four points, and Mrs L. Nattress was second with two points. Mrs C. Pearson then gave an interesting demonstration on quilt making. Hostesses were Mesdames Pearson arid J. Reynolds.
