Fertilisers Scarce At Whakatane

While there are ample supplies of fertilisers in stores farmers throughout the Bay of Plenty and especially about Whakatane are not able to get any on to their farms because of lack of transport. Altogether there is a total shortage of 7555 tons of fertilisers, 2555 tons of which is at Whakatane, the Provincial secretary of Bay of Plenty Federated Farmers, Mr E. J. Vosper, has revealed.

The difficulty is thought to be through lack of transport and steps are being taken to see if the position cannot be improved.
