Rose Bowl Won By The Otakiri W.I.
The fine Rose Bowl won at the Eisteddfod at Edgecumbe recently was well displayed at the monthly meeting of the Otakiri Women’s Institute presided over by Mrs J. G. Carr. The bowl is to be kept on the president’s table and used for flowers each month.
A speaker at the annual meeting of Women’s Institutes held at Opotiki, Mrs Kelso, Wellington, gave an interesting address on institute work and aid for Britain. Mesdames A. Armstrong and Shaw sang two duets and a competition was won by Mrs T. Briggs.
