What came forth in the impromptu speeches almost turned in to a social afternoon, the April meeting of the Manawahe W. 1., presided over by Mrs Goldsmith in the Manawahe Hall. The meeting was well attended and most of the business discussed was with remits for the approaching council meeting when the delegates, Mesdames King and Mikkelsen vrere instructed how to vote. Afternoon tea was served by Mesdames Ansell and King. Competition results: —-
