Indoor Basketball

Judging by the number of en-i thusiastic players who attended the opening night on Wednesday- the Whakatane Club has hopes of producing strong representative teams for inter-club tournament play. This year we were fortunate in obtaining a coach, formerly of ' Auckland, Mr Paton. Although a com petition has not yet been arranged several games were played in order to give the many newcomers a general idea of the rules. A meeting was held at the conclusion of the games and a committee and club

captain were elected. A still better attendance is expected tonight.
