A violent eruption of Paricutin the world’s youngest volcano, temporarily held up location shooting of “Adventures of Casanova” in Mexico. Director Roberto Gavaldon had co-stars Arturo de Cordova, Lucille Bremer, Turhan Bey, Noreen Nash and the supporting cast on location at Uruapan, 15 miles from the base

of the giant volcano, when, after a series of earthquakes, the volcano suddenly 1 became violently active. Ashes from the eruption showered down three or four miles thick over most of the terrain on which the company were working.
