Prospects Of Three N.Z. Athletes

Neil Wilson, the middle-distance runner, Vevan Hough, the broad jumper, of Auckland, and Len Smith, the hurdler, of Wellington, are New Zealand’s best athletic prospects, in the opinion of Mr R. E. Graham, manager of the Australian touring athletic team. There was no saying what heights Wilson would reach if properly handled, Mr Graham said. “We’ve had a great time on tour,” Mr Graham added. “The organisation has been first class. Winning or losing was a secondary consideration. We feel there has been mutual benefit from competition throughout New Zealand.”
