Much Poison Laid

During the last month 17,400 acres of land had been poisoned, according to the Inspector’s report, presented at a recent meeting of the Pongakawa Rabbit Board, and 10,750 fumigated using 15221bs of Phosphorised. pollard and 821bs of Cynogas. Rabbits had been taking the poison readily and good results had been obtained. There had been a slight increase during the breeding season but, for the most part, no trouble was experienced in dealing with the effected areas. Ax?eas to be worked this month include. Heparu/Manawahe Road, Paengaroa, Maniatutu, Tarawera, Rerewhakaitu, Rotorua, Te Teko, Te Ngae and Rotokawa.
