Mr G. A. Wilkes, relieving Postmaster, takes over at Whakatane on March 24 when Mr S. W. Hills leaves on transfer to Hawera.
Mr C. M. Lennie, who was successful during the recent by-elec-tion in being elected to fill the vacant seat on the Whakatane Borough Council was welcomed by councillors at Monday night’s meeting.
