Wool Exports For Six Months
Tn the first six months of the present export season, from July 1 to December 21, 1948, inclusive. New Zealand shipped zroad 408,699 bales of wool, more than half of which went to the United Kingdom. France, according to figures supplied by the New Zealand Wool Board, was the' second bes* customer, and then came the United States. Of the total sent abroad 278.129 bales were greasy wool, 68,270 were scoured, and 62,300 were slipe.
