District Boxing Association (Inc).
First general meeting of members of the Whakatane District Boxing Association since its incorporation took place on Tuesday night, when the old Association formally became the Whakatane District Boxing Association (Inc.). The meeting received the report on the incorporation of the Association, transferred the assets of the old body to the new, and elected the following officers to carry on until the annual meeting next month: Patron, Mr lan B. Gow; president, Mr A. L. Hogg; vice-presidents, Messrs W. J. Sullivan, S. Whitworth, and N. H. Semmens; secre-tary-treasurer, Mr B. Magee; committee, Messrs A. W. Iremonger, H. W. Morgan, A. A. Reeves, N. C. H. Taylor, E. H. Nicholls and H. Neale; auditor, Mr H. G. Warren. The balance sheet adopted showed £269 8s 7d in credit at the bank and a profit of £37 11s 6d on last season’s activities, an altogether satisfactory position.
