Friends Gather To Farewell Bachelor
Mourning his last few hours as a i bachelor an informal evening to Mr ' G, C. Tippett, Whakatane, was held in the Commercial Hotel on Wed- , nesday night by a few of his close j friends. It was a very informal gathering. ] The hand of sympathy was extended to Mr Tippett many times ! during the evening, always full. The gathering continued late into Wednesday night and concluded quite early, it being considered that Mr Tippett should have some time to prepare himself for the wedding, which was on Thursday. Those present were: Messrs L. Roach, E. Mussett, C. Woodham, JGreen, R. Marra, J. German, J. Stewart and N. McG. Bremner.
