Saturday Polling Advocated
A recommendation that for future elections and referendums the polling day should be Saturday will be sent to the Minister .of Education, Mr McCombs, by the Auckland Education Board. Board members strongly condemned the practice of taking over schoolrooms as polling booths for gaming and licensing referendums, especially when alternative halls were available nearby.
