Farmers ' Help In Rehabilitation

“I want to thank the farmers for the great help they have given in the work of rehabilitation by assisting former servicemen to become established on the land,” said the Minister of Agriculture, the Hon. E. Cullen, in the course of the speech he made before declaring the Royal Show at Invercargill officially open.

“The farmers have taken returned men and have trained them in various branches of farming,” Mr Cullen added. “In this way the farmers have not only assisted the returned men but have also assisted the future of primary production in New Zealand.”
