During January the following gifts were received at the District Hospital, Whakatane, and have been acknowledged by the matron, Miss K. Miller: Children’s books, Mesdames Hills-and Combes, Rona Harris, Robin Mackay, Josephine Churchouse, Dawn, Beverley j and Bruce Whiteside; magazines, Mesdames Hills, Muir, Grose, Shapley, Combes and Miss B. Taylor; fruit and vegetables, Mrs , KingsleySmith, Messrs C. McDonald, Dodunski and C. Cannell; flowers, Presbyterian Church, Mrs Furze: babies’ bootees, Mrs J. Barbour.
