M.P. Welcomed Home By Residents Of Murupara & Galatea

Mr W. Sullivan, M.P. was accorded a very enthusiastic reception by the residents of Galatea and Murupara on Saturday night in the Galatea School, when he addressed a public meeting, giving a very interesting ancf informative account of his recent visit overseas.

Mr J. Wilson, Chairman of the Murupara-Galatea branch of the New Zealand National Party, presided over a very large gathering. Mr Sullivan gave a brief resume of the countries and places he visited during his absence and gave detailed accounts of present conditions in Germany and Britain, also explaining in detail the working of the Tennessee Valley Scheme in the U.S.A. which he had been fortunate enough to see. Questions were answered by Mr Sullivan at the end of his address, and he was accorded a vote of thanks on the motion of Mr Cameron, seconded by Mr Grant.
