New Presbyterian Minister Welcomed To Taneatua Church

Rev J. Nummy, Presbyterian minister at Taneatua, was recently farewelled on his transfer to the Ruawai Home Mission Station, North Auckland. Tributes were paid to his conscientiousness in all his ministrations at Taneatua, and speakers made reference to the thoroughness jof Mr and Mrs Nummy’s work j among the congregation. Special re- ; ference was made to Mr Nummy’s labours among the boys in. the esi tablishment of the Boys’ Brigade, j Presentations were made to Mr and Mrs Nummy on behalf of the congregation. j On Thursday, a service of intro- | duction of the Rev. Walter Humble • was held in the Taneatua Church. A Commission of the Bay of Plenty ' Presbytery conducted the service, i when Mr Humble was set apart as i Home Missionary to the local congregation. . ! After the service a welcome was j tendered to Mr and Mrs Humble on j behalf of the local congregation and ; the Presbytery. In his reply Mr j Humble stressed that his ministry jin Taneatua would be a team one.
