Vacancy On Borough Council
To fill the vacancy caused through the death of the late Mr J. Creeke, nominations are to be called for the position on the Whakatane Borough Council it was decided at Monday night’s council meeting. If more than one nomination is received a by-election will have to be held. The council is required to take this procedure as there is just over ~two years to go until the next municipal election.
