Borough Foreman Engineer Resigns

The resignation of the working : foreman, Mr W. S. Henderson, from the Whakatane Borough Counci] - employ was accepted by the council on Monday night.. Regret at Mr Henderson’s resignation was expressed by councillors, who referred to his excellent services for the 12-£ years he had been with the council.

Mr Henderson asked to be relieved of his duties at the end of four weeks. In view of this request the council decided to advertise immediately and invite applications for the position.
